Singer Songwriters Elk & Boar In The Aquarium!

Our Singer Songwriter Guests were quoted as follows ”Their voices wrap together like velvet and burnished wood, and they sprinkle spare strings around everything. Quality songwriters, Elk and Boar are up-and-comers precisely because they sound like they’ve been doing this for decades.”

In 2010, our two guests today joined up to create music that celebrated their vocal polarity and common loves. Their first full length CD… “Room To Start” released in March of 2011, is a soulful collection of emotional songs that emanate hope and lament.

Since combining their talents, the two have kept busy playing locally with many of their favorite NW artists, traveling to Austin for SXSW and to the East Coast for 1band 1brand to play the “138 Listening Lounge.” Their eventful summer was punctuated when they were added to the lineup at Doe Bay Fest 2011 and City Arts Festival.

Once upon a time…there were two shot glasses, on one was etched an elk, on the other, a boar. Please help me in welcoming one of Gina Belliveau’s favorite artists ever and our guests today, Kirsten Wenlock and Travis Barker…
